We have a winner for our December promotion! Robin Fulton won a beautiful pair of Silhouette crystal frames and progressive lenses. She just loves them and wanted everyone to know how pleased she is with the new Varilux S series lenses. She has never seen so well! Dr. Toby Mandelman
Dr. Mandelman graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1983, winning the Optometry General Proficiency medal and University Gold Medal in Science as well as other numerous awards. She is very active in the Nova Scotia Association of Optometrists (currently and as past president) and the Canadian Institute for the Blind. She has written papers and lectures regularly, as well as appearing on the Maritime Noon Show.
Dr. Angela Dobson
Dr. Dobson graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1992 after a career as a Geologist. She participated in numerous research papers while working at the Centre for Contact Lens Research at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Dobson has also participated in numerous humanitarian eye mission.
Dr. Avila Cox
Dr. Cox graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1998. She won numerous scholastic awards while at the school, including the Faculty of Science award for overall achievement. Dr. Cox is also very active in the Nova Scotia Association of Optometrists and has written numerous articles in local papers and appeared on local TV.
Dr. Erin Sheppard
Dr. Sheppard graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2003 after completing a B.Sc. in Biology at Dalhousie University. She has been active in the Nova Scotia Association of Optometrists and the Nova Scotia College of Optometrists since returning home after graduation. She has Chaired committees for both the Association and the College, served as the Secretary-Treasurer , Vice President and is the current President of the Association .
Michael Poworoznyk
Since July 2011, Michael has brought his unique practice of facilitative leadership to us. He is building our success from his experience in service development, human resource and business administration, and community engagement.
