Charities and Community Organizations
The Bedford Eye Care Centre is a proud supporter of the following charities.
Feed Nova Scotia
FEED NOVA SCOTIA is a charitable organization that helps feed hungry people by collecting and distributing food to more than 150 member agency food banks and meal programs, while at the same time striving to eliminate chronic hunger and poverty through research, awareness and support programs.
Coalition for Kids International
Coalition for Kids International, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, is a not for profit organization that provides life-changing experiences for youth. The Coalition’s initiatives have made an immediate impact on the lives of many and it commits its resources to:
Empower North American teens and youth to personally fulfill the fantasies and dreams of terminally-ill children facing circumstances beyond imagination, in their homes and in hospitals throughout Poland, on 12 day “Journeys for a Lifetime”
Leave Out Violence
LOVE (Leave Out Violence) is an award-winning youth violence prevention organization.
LOVE was founded on the belief that youth challenged by violence can be agents of change, capable of transforming their own lives, investing themselves in their communities, and making the world a safer place.
Since our founding in 1918, CNIB has grown to become the primary resource for Canadians who are blind or partially sighted, with offices in communities across the country. We’re proud to help thousands of Canadians see beyond vision loss every single day.
Optometry Giving Sight
Improving the quality of life of people who are needlessly blind or vision impaired simply because they do not have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses.
Bedford Eye Care is a Finalist for Business of the Year!
We are so very grateful to our patients, the community and the outstanding service team in the practice for the support you all continue to show to us in our many years in business.
We're honoured to be selected by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce among a diverse group of outstanding and well-known finalists for this prestigious award. We believe it's a reflection of the commitment we have to delivering the highest quality care to our patients and for pushing into new areas of innovative care, including our new dry eye and traumatic brain injury clinics, as well as our commitment to patient and public education in these critical new areas of research and treatment.
