We are so excited and pleased to report that we have been officially given a re-opening date of June the 5th! In anticipation of this date, we have been working extensively behind the scenes during the closure to prepare our office to meet the highest standards in care in this new COVID-19 landscape. We want to ensure we are doing everything we can to keep our team, our patients and your families safe and protected.
When you return to our office, you will notice some changes:
- Please note that until further notice, all visits to our office must be by appointment only.
- Our welcome desk and optical fitting stations have all been fitted with plexiglass barriers, as have many pieces of exam room equipment.
- We have spaced out seating to ensure physical distancing is always maintained.
- We will be continuing to sanitize all high touch surfaces regularly and will be limiting the amount of people allowed in our facility at any one time.
- To ensure we can maintain appropriate physical distancing, we will have fewer doctors working on any given day to help limit traffic in the office.
- It will be of the utmost importance you arrive on time for your exam. If you are late we will be unable to maintain the flow necessary to keep our patients, doctors, staff and families safe.
- We request that you please be kind and understanding with our staff as they navigate this new reality with you.
- We will ask that you arrive alone for your visit if possible.
- Additionally, our doctors and staff will be wearing masks and we require that all visitors to our clinic wear a mask as well. If you do not have one, we can supply you with one.
If you had an appointment that was missed due to the closure, there is no need to reach out to us as we have your name on a list and will be contacting you soon to get you booked in.
If you are looking to get an appointment scheduled, you are welcome to give us a call now at 902-835-2020 and we can work on getting you scheduled as soon as possible!
We also want you to know that your eye exam may “feel” a little different than normal. In close quarters (i.e. in the exam rooms) the risk of transmission is higher the more we talk. Your doctors may not be able to engage in the same degree of personal conversation as we would normally do but please know we care very much about you and miss you very much. As always, will be sure to ensure any and all critical information is communicated to you clearly and we will be sure to answer any pertinent questions you may have.
Times are a little different now but we are all in this together and we are so looking forward to getting back to what we love doing – caring for you and your eyes. That will never change. We hope to see you very soon!
