Emergency care only – please call for triage. We’re still available on a limited basis by phone and for contact lens orders.

We regret to inform our patients that we have suspended routine care due to the threat of COVID-19. These measures were implemented effective immediately in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and to protect our staff, patients and our community.

As healthcare providers, our goal is to lessen the strain on our healthcare system and healthcare colleagues. We will have emergency services available to our patients by appointment only during limited hours until we are mandated to stop.

Please call our office at 902 835 2020 if you experience: Sudden loss or decrease in vision , foreign body in the eye, ocular injury or forceful trauma to the eye or surrounding area, sudden onset of persistent and severe pain in or around the eye or with eye movement, sudden onset of flashing lights and/or floaters, sudden onset of double vision.

Not sure if you are experiencing an emergency? Please call our office to be triaged.

Please understand we have a limited team; therefore, we may not be able to return your call or email right away. We also ask for your understanding if we are unable to see you.

Please understand that if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, have travelled, or in close contact with someone who is ill or have travelled , we cannot accommodate you at this time and you must call 811 to be triaged. Additionally if you appear to be unwell we will not be able to see you.

As we continue to work limited hours and for the time being we are still able to receive your contact lens orders through our website or by sending us an email at prioritycare@bedfordeyecarecentre.ca. Your contact lens order will be mailed directly to your home.

We cannot accept new patients at this time but welcome the opportunity to meet you in the future.

Thank you for your patience and for your support of a local independent business during this unprecedented time.
